In addition to being the principal broker and co-owner of Truckee Meadows Property Management, Judy Cook is an author and instructor of pre-licensing and continuing education courses for Nevada Property Managers and Community Managers. She has been a real estate licensee in Nevada since 1985, and was one of the first in the state to obtain the Nevada Property Management Permit.

 

Judy has over 25 years’ hands-on experience managing both commercial and residential properties in Nevada, and is well-respected as one of the industry’s go-to Property Management professionals.  As the first in Nevada to hold the widely-respected C-CREC® designation conferred by the International Association of Real Estate Consultants (IAREC®), her charter membership in both the Nevada Chapter of the Real Estate Educators Association (REEA®) and the Reno Chapter of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM®), combined with her years of service dedicated to supporting the efforts of Silver State Fair Housing Council (SSFHC), Judy’s career is marked by her efforts to enhance the professionalism of Nevada’s property management industry. In addition to being a principal and co-owner of Truckee Meadows Property Management, Sarah Berry is its lead property manager. Sarah is a licensed Nevada real estate salesperson and Property Management Permit holder, and an active member of NARPM®. She’s a lifelong native of the Reno/Sparks area, and an experienced writer, with a background in freelancing and journalism.

 

Born into the property management industry (she’s Judy’s daughter!), Sarah has always had an eye for the ways of the business, pointing out things like peeling wallpaper and minor water damage at an age when she was still in a car seat. With talents ranging from researching, marketing and advertising, to exceptional people skills and communication, Sarah offers both unique insight and a keen sense of understanding to a business that requires a strict and hands-on attention to detail – something she has mastered quite well.

 

 

Judy and Sarah opened the firm, Truckee Meadows Property Management, because they saw an unmet need for both Judy’s extensive experience and unique business model, combined with Sarah’s fresh perspective and insight in the Reno/Sparks rental market.
